Crisis Intervention Services and Safe/Emergency Childcare Request for Applications (RFA)The RFA allocates $9,500,000 to fund programs that support the Commission’s approved strategies to provide effective crisis intervention services and access to safe/emergency childcare to families in crisis. These funds are available for the five-year funding cycle beginning July 1, 2010. Nutrition and Physical Activity Request for Proposals (RFP)The RFP allocates $2,500,000 to fund programs that support the Commission’s approved strategy to prevent obesity through improved nutrition and physical activity. These funds are available for the five-year funding cycle beginning July 1, 2010. Breastfeeding Support Services Request for Proposals (RFP)The RFP allocates $5.5 million to fund the Commission approved strategy to increase prevalence and duration of breastfeeding in Sacramento County. These funds are available for the five-year funding cycle beginning July 1, 2010. Community Grant ApplicationsThe Community Building Initiative (CBI) provides funding for community activities or projects within the County of Sacramento that benefit children ages zero to five and build relationships. The more we know each other in our communities, the more likely we are to look out for one another and help one another. Community grants are available for community members like you – parents, grandparents or others. The grants can be for up to $5,000 for activities/projects lasting up to one-year. Fluoridation Request for ApplicationsApplication Number 06/07-3 Implementation Funding for Capital Projects - Fluoridation of Sacramento County Community Drinking Water was released January 23, 2007 for five targeted water districts: Rio Linda, Zone 41 (County of Sacramento), Sacramento Suburban, California American and Del Paso Manor and if, all funds are not expended, to any other water district that expresses interest that have a high concentration of children ages zero to five. Funding is available until exhausted during the 2007 – 2010 funding cycle. The RFA Supplement must be obtained from Commission staff at the mandatory meeting to be arranged by calling Debra Payne, Program Planner, (916) 876-5870. |
